Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Has Launched The 2025 Annual Livestock Vaccination Exercise In Itas Gadau Local Government Area, Marking A Significant Step Towards Enhancing Livestock Production And Food Security In The State.
During The Ceremony, Governor Mohammed Announced The Establishment Of The Ministry Of Livestock Development, Aimed At Addressing The Challenges Faced By Herdsmen And Farmers, And Boosting Livestock Production For Economic Growth And Development.
The Governor Emphasized The Importance Of Maximizing The State’s Human And Animal Resources To Improve Food Production. He Appreciated The Support Of Traditional Institutions, Religious Leaders, And Security Agencies In Maintaining Peace And Encouraged The Public To Engage In Farming And Livestock Production For Economic Prosperity.
In Partnership With Donor Partners And Non-governmental Organizations, The State Government Plans To Establish Semi-earth Dams And Other Initiatives To Drive Livestock Development. Governor Mohammed Directed Local Government Chairmen To Ensure The Vaccination Exercise Is Implemented Effectively Across The State.
