Bauchi Governor Inaugurates Visitation Panel for Sa’adu Zungur University

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has inaugurated a visitation panel to address the challenges facing Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau. The panel, chaired by Professor Gambo Laraba Abdullahi, was constituted to undertake a comprehensive review of the university and provide actionable recommendations.
Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of education as the bedrock of meaningful development, stating that his administration will always accord the sector the attention it deserves. He charged the panel to discharge their duties without fear or favor and to complete their assignment within eight weeks.
The panel’s terms of reference include investigating the causes of the ongoing strike, reviewing financial operations, examining academic programs, evaluating infrastructure, and assessing governance structure. The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing more infrastructure to the state-owned premier tertiary institution.
Responding on behalf of the panel members, Professor Abdullahi thanked Governor Mohammed for finding them worthy to serve and pledged to work towards addressing the challenges facing the university.
