Bauchi State Honors Fallen Heroes on Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2025

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, led the commemoration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2025, paying tribute to the sacrifices of fallen heroes and their families. The ceremony, held at the IBB Square in Bauchi, featured a wreath-laying ceremony, special prayers, and the release of pigeons as a symbol of peace and stability.
Upon arrival, Governor Mohammed inspected the guard of honor mounted by the Nigerian Armed Forces. An Imam and a Protestant Pastor offered special prayers for the repose of the souls of the fallen heroes and the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In a show of commitment to supporting veterans and their families, Governor Mohammed presented an official vehicle to the State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion. He also reiterated his administration’s dedication to partnering with security agencies to promote peace and stability, essential for sustainable growth and development in Bauchi State ¹.
This year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations were marked across the country, with dignitaries paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of Nigeria’s armed forces. The event serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to support the families of deceased soldiers and honor the legacy of fallen heroes.
